How to be Saved
1. Admit you are a sinner.
2. Understand that as a sinner, you deserve death.
3. Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from sin and death.
4. Repent by turning from your old life of sin to a new life in Christ.
5. Receive, through faith in Jesus Christ, God's free gift of salvation.
The “Sinner’s Prayer”
God, I know I’m a sinner and that I don’t deserve to go to heaven. I believe Jesus suffered on the cross to save me from my sins. So, I’m turning from my sinful ways to live a new life devoted to you. Lord Jesus, I receive you into my life and accept your gift of salvation. Amen.
Assurance of Salvation (After the prayer…)
Remind them of Romans 10:13 – God made you a promise.
Show them 1 John 5:13 – God wants them to know they are saved; not hope they are saved.
Show them John 10:28-30 – No one (not even them) can pull us away from God.
Show them 1 Peter 1:4-5 – They are protected by God until their “home going”.
